Speed Breakers in Pune

Sharing an article written by one of my colleagues..worth reading

Seen different type of Speed Breakers in Pune city in past 10-15 years and count has increased tremendously since last 5 years.
Even if there is certain rules to build Speed breakers, it seems corporation or MIDC are not following these rules.
 
There two basic types
1.       Speed Breaker
2.       Inverted Speed Breakers, these normally found whenever road is repaired with tar coating. It happens due to digging. Fresh is available after Wakad Bridge towards Hinjawadi and old was near Wipro Phase 2 chowk
 
Types of Speed Breakers
1.       False Speed Breakers where road is painted and forgot to put tar (mainly for April fool)
2.       Very small and painted, no bounce feel
3.       Metal one, mostly industry can afford it and mainly found inside factories (less risk to steal them)
4.       Big one where small hatchback drivers are worried about their car
5.       Speed Breakers without paint, driver and co-passengers get feel of amusement park ride
6.       Speed Breakers where pedestrian can walk, only seen in Pune city and now in Hinjawadi too (recently built near Natural Ice-cream shop)
7.       Multiple strips where driver get good feeling while driving
 
I think Co-operation should think generating electricity from speed breakers. Do you know any other types ?
